NGC 3324 The Keyhole Nebula RA: 10 37 Dec: - 58 38 Mag 6.1 The Keyhole Nebula is found in the constellation of Carina superimposed on the larger Eta Carina Nebula. Both nebulae were formed from the star eta carina which is near the end of its life. Its a huge star and possibly a binary system some 100 to 150 times the mass of the sun. In the 1800s it was one of the brightest stars in the sky but it has events of dimming due to the gas and dust it has expelled.
